The Circle is the main map element in Circle Empires. The world can have between 4 and 49 circles, depending on the map size.
Circles have a maximum of four exits (which can be protected by Walls) through which units can move to neighboring circles.
The player always starts the game with one Grassland circle and should conquer more as the game progresses. A circle is conquered when it contains at least one player unit but no enemy units or buildings. (Walls do not count.) Analogically, a circle is lost when it contains an enemy unit but no player units or buildings.
Whenever the player conquers circle, a Storehouse and a Tower automatically appear there.
Each circle belongs to a terrain type type which determines the movement speed of units as well as the potential sources found in the circle.
